Memorial Weekend in Atlanta

We went to Atlanta for the extended Memorial weekend and made sure to make the most of it. We went to a Braves game which Ben really wanted to do before finishing grad school, saw the aquarium, the New World of Coca-Cola museum, and some other fun things. Ben raising up another baseball fan.
Landon cheering on the Braves.

Our attempt at a family shot:)

Look at Landon's amazed expression while in front of the wall-sized tank with thousands of fish.

Two little people hanging with the sharks. (Do you see the whale shark overhead?)

Didn't know the Mona Lisa enjoys a coke while listening to an Ipod, did ya?

Ben trying all 60 coke products throughout the world. (I only managed to taste a few of the foreign ones, and I must say I prefer what's here in the States).

At the beginning of our Coca-Cola tour. We thought it was a neat place to spend some time, but probably not worth the money to go again.

And because we had a pool at our hotel, we took full advantage of it and had Landon have his first pool experience. At first he was a bit apprehensive, but to be fair the water was a little cool and took some getting use to. Eventually, we took him out of the tube and he stayed latched to Ben where he felt secure enough to have a little fun splashing about.

Here's a little clip of Landon's first time in a pool. (Bearing in mind that this kid is not a fan of baths).

Surprise...Winger's!

So I am not a huge meat-eater, but one thing that makes a piece of chicken good is the sauce. And Winger's has that spicy sauce that I love so much... unfortunately it's a western food chain. But guess what my husband found out...there is one in Manchester, TN (which is a tiny town just forty minutes away from us.) Evidently the franchise is experimenting in a couple eastern states. Why they chose a podunk town here in TN I don't know, but I'll reap the benfits of it every once in awhile. Me and my creamy Amazing sauce. Yummy!
My wonderful husband who sat across from me and watched me relish every drop of the good stuff.

And Landon, who unfortunatly, has not acquired the taste for the finer things in life. He took one bit and would have nothing else to do with it. To be fair, it is rather spicy for a little guy.

Our anniversary

To us Cinco De Mayo is more than just a Mexican holiday, it is our anniversary. We've now been married for three years, and the time has absolutely flown. We have finished undergraduate school, had a baby, started graduate school in Tennessee, and are awaiting the arrival of baby #2... and that was all in three years! We have so much more to look forward too together. I have never posted wedding pictures so here are a few to look at (and see just how much we've changed!)

This picture is to show how windy it was that day. Those who came, will probably remember that. My bangs were constantly in my face and I almost got knocked over a few times.

And I had to put a picture of our cake in made by Aunt Julie. She did a fantastic job.

Anyway, Honey, just want to say I love you and am so happy we are going to be a family forever. You are the best husband a girl could as for, not to mention the most amazing dad our son (and future kids) could ever have. Thanks.

His one-year photo shoot

Man, it's hard to get a toddler to look at the camera! We took Landon to Ben's campus on a Sunday and just let him roam free and have a good old time.
