Landon thinks all Katelyn's new toys are his too. Yet, he's not too big on sharing his own toys...somethings gotta give eventually. He does love his "sissy" though.

A brotherly kiss

Landon was fascinated with Katelyn's bow so I put it in his hair...he didn't like that.

"You can't see me, Mom." Ah, yes I can, Landon :-)
He hid because I was going to change his diaper.

I think the coat is a little big, but he has one month to grow into it before we visit Utah and Idaho.

Katelyn's getting better at supporting her head so we sit her in the bumbo seat more often now. Landon thinks it is an awesome seat.

I wanted to get a picture of Landon's cute sweater vest outfit and the only way we could get him to stop was for me to catch him. He sure is fast.

And in this video Landon gives Katelyn kisses with the lamb.

Two Months Old

So our Katelyn Jane had a mini photoshoot two weeks ago when she hit her 2 month mark. She is so cute, and smiles all the time now. She even jabbers. I love her double chin, and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

Chattanooga Trip

We took a mini trip down to Chattanoogo, TN over Christmas break since Ben has school and work off in between semesters. We had been to Chattanoogo once for a one night stay and decided it was a place we would like to go back and spend more time at. So we did, even though we were all a bit sick. We visited the Aquarium and let Landon play with the sharks.
This picture reminded me of Happy Feet, when Mumble ends up in an aquarium. Landon loves Happy Feet because off all the dancing music, so we thought he'd like the penguins, but he wasn't that into them. But if they would of started dancing he'd have joined right in.

This is a replica of the world's largest turtle shell. Landon thought it made a pretty good drum.


CHATTANOOGO CHOO CHOO
It was cold this day, but Landon loved saying choo, choo to a real train.

But he was a little afraid once the engine started up. I'd say it was 25 cents wasted, but it was hard not to laugh at the poor little guy's reaction. He's quick.

Mayfield Dairy

This is Maggie Moo. Landon loved the "moo,moo", but unfortunatley the tour was going to be a one and half hour wait so we just got some ice cream instead.

He always wants to feed himself now.


FUN in the Hotel

He slept so soundly in his portable crib because he was too big to flip from side to side and his bink's never fell out like they do in the crib at home. Notice he still has two, one for the mouth and one for his hand. He's not going to like what's coming at age two when there are no more binkis for night,night time.

Landon is such an observer. He just sat on the couch, grabbed a burp cloth and put it on shoulder and kept trying to get Ben to put Katelyn on his shoulder.

And since Katelyn didn't make it in very many pics, because she was covered up to keep the cold out most of the time, here's a short clip that shows how much she's growing. (As you can tell I had very little use of my voice on this trip, and at the very end of the video Landon says "Bye,Bye" in the background)

christmas

So Christmas was great, even if we were sick and it was just our little family. We still enjoyed ourselves and made the best of it by focusing on what we would like to make traditions in our home for future Christmases.
Landon got some Living Scripture books for Christmas and here he is pointing out Jesus.

Landon needed a little help unwrapping his presents but then he got the idea and tore into the rest of his gifts. We had taken a video but it was too large to download to blogger :( But just know that he had a blast. Thank you for all the lovely gifts.

Oh Christmas tree

We were not going to get a tree because the kids are so young but we had quite a few people tell us we just HAD to have one to see our little boy's face light up when he saw the tree all decked out in lights and ornaments...so we caved.

(There is a video at the end of this post that shows his awed reaction.)

Oh, and by the way, after spending a half-hour putting all the decorations in the perfect spot, it only took about 2 minutes to put them all at the top of the tree once Landon decided to remove them in a not-so-gentle manner!

And here is one attempt at a family shot in front to the tree. It's amazing that when you have kids you can take tons of photos and still not have a perfect photo. Oh, well.

He was cranky coming down the hall, but then he turned the corner. I love that he just let me pop the binki out of his mouth.

A baby blessing

Our little Katelyn Jane had her baby blessing last Sunday. Her daddy did a wonderful job and we are very much looking forward to watching her grow up.

The beautiful dress you see was made by my wonderful mother-in-law. That was a blessing in and of itself because the last time I sewed was back in the 8th grade in Home Ec.

Katelyn's Grandma and Grandpa Davis and Aunt Lindsie made the trek out to spend this special occasion with us.
